Why get up in the morning to work at Taco Bell when you could be traveling the continental US pushing your band's fresh new sound to people near and far? Precisely the philosophy of five guys from Tallahassee, FL. Derek, Jeremy, Alex, Brooks and Jake all decided to quit their jobs thinking outside of the bun and started to think about performing in a parade
Mayday Parade was born when two popular Tallahassee bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment, decided to merge and form one group. Both bands had been friends for a long time but they each seemed to have different kind of holdups. They pooled their resources, booted out the undedicated members and decided to take the good from each band and move forward. Armed with a dynamic lead singer Derek Sanders of Defining Moment, Mayday Parade explodes with energy and personality. Fans of both bands came together in support of the Parade and it wasn't long until thousands of other new fans got into the action. Mayday Parade knew they'd have to start at the grassroots level and began to work themselves to the top. Through their catchy tunes and fun attitude, they have hooked fans at their shows and online with an interactive MySpace selling 10,000 EPs without label support.
With the work hard, play hard, do whatever it takes to spread your music philosophy that most young bands need to have these days, the band took to the road and started winning over kids not just in Florida, but across the country. Mayday Parade was consistently in the top 30 unsigned artists on MySpace. They've consolidated over 50,000 friends and growing and have totaled over 2.4 Million plays. With labels hot on their tail, Mayday Parade decided that Fearless Records was the one for them and signed at the end of the summer 2006.
They then released their first professional record, A Lesson In Romantics in 2007. Shortly after, one of the lead singers/guitarists Jason Lancaster (he was the lead guitarist and singer of Kid Named Chicago) left the band over a songwriting dispute. He then started his own band, Go Radio. There are no hard feelings between the two bands, although Lancaster later commented, "I wish it could have gone down differently."
In 2009, the band released their second album and first without Lancaster, Anywhere But Here.
Mayday Parades live show also conveys their personality through a show that is intensely full of life. The band knows how to put on an engaging show with five energetic members there's no escaping the energy that Mayday Parade brings. Theyre all over the stage making sure the audience goes home happy and wanting more. They love to get the crowd engaged!

Breathe Carolina is an electronic duo from Denver, Colorado. When members, Kyle Even and David Schmitt started the project in 2007, they didn't anticipate that their “just for fun” intent would explode into an internationally sought-after duo within just a couple of years. The story of Breathe Carolina is a modern day music fairytale, about two friends who recorded tracks on Mac program GarageBand at home in Denver, Colorado, put them on to MySpace and rapidly gained a huge online following.
The duo's self-released debut EP Gossip hit iTunes in 2007, and after a phenomenal response, they released their debut album "It’s Classy, Not Classic" in 2008. The album entered the Billboard Top 200 at #186. Their genre-clashing blend of crowd-pleasing pop, rock and electronica was a hit, and no longer confined to the bedroom – Breathe Carolina were a global force ready to be heard.
After signing with Fearless Records in 2009, their album Hello Fascination took their music to a bigger, brighter and more blistering dimension. Recorded with the stellar production team of Mike Green (Paramore, The Higher, Set Your Goals) and Matt Squire (Taking Back Sunday, 3OH!3, Panic At The Disco), their sound became re-defined with the addition of live instruments and hooky pop choruses. The album debuted at #43 on the Billboard Top 200, at #5 on the Independent Chart and #2 on the Electronic Chart. The title track “Hello Fascination” was featured on MTV’s The City and received placement on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. It even became the featured track on NBC’s The Jay Leno Show promos.
The duo followed up their second UK headline tour of the year with a whole summer on Vans Warped Tour 2010, followed by a direct support slot to Mayday Parade on the Fearless Friends Tour in Fall 2010.
2011 has been quite the year for the band, as "Blackout"'s steady ascension up the Top 40 single chart, embraced by fans across the nation as their new party anthem, has made them one of the only independent acts taking on the pop goliaths at Top 40. 'Hell Is What You Make It' debuted at #2 on the Billboard Electronic Chart, with The NY Times calling the album "one of the best pure pop albums of the year". A performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, main playlist rotation across all MTV networks for video "Blackout" and an Artist Of The Week slot on MTV's PUSH program fueled the genre-blending duo's success story.
Starting out in a bedroom in the suburbs of the Mile High City, Breathe Carolina was one of the first bands to start making waves via social networks. They truly came into their own on Fearless Records-released sophomore full-length Hello Fascination. A step to a brave next level, the album entered the Billboard Top 200 at #43, and went on to sell over 60,000 copies in the U.S. alone. Their juxtaposition of hardcore guts and pop glory found a happy niche between both rock and pop fans, the album's title track landing placements on the promos for NBC's Jay Leno Show, 30 Rock and Monday Night Football, MTV's The Hills and The City.
With national radio dates with fellow Top 40 acts including Flo-Rida, Selena Gomez, Kreayshawn, Hot Chelle Rae, Cobra Starship and The Fray sees the band ending 2011 on an all time high.

Giving their brand of euphoric rock a sharper, slicker edge, Every Avenue explores themes of lust, temptation and self-acceptance on new album Bad Habits' 10 driving tracks, solidifying their place in the next breed of strong contenders in pop rock. Their third full-length sees the band lacing their infectious melodies with a glimpse of a darker side, embracing their next phase with the passion of a band truly defining their sound and making it their own.
Making their mark through hard work, the stunning vocal stylings of singer Dave Strauchman and an unfaltering belief in their brand of quality rock tunes, the Motor City five-piece has exploded from hometown shows to international success in a few short years. The band has been a staple on the rock circuit since 2004, clocking up tours with All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Metro Station and Hey Monday, and was featured in Alternative Press' Most Anticipated Albums 2011. The band's single "Tell Me I'm A Wreck" was in high rotation on Sirius Hits 1, with several weeks appearance on the 20 on 20 chart in fall 2010, and the poignant video resonated with fans worldwide, picking up airplay on MTV2 and was named Kerrang! TV's Video Of The Week. With an entire summer of Vans Warped Tour in front of them, Every Avenue stands defiant, a stable of killer tracks under their belts, poised to take Bad Habits to new heights. Everyone has a favorite fix: that one thing that gets the blood coursing through your veins and the endorphins firing in your brain. For Artist Vs Poet, that fix is music. Their debut album Favorite Fix, released on March 2nd, 2010, is aptly named, as it features each member’s individual passion: creativity and love for music taking shape in the form of upbeat songs that will inevitably become their fans’ favorite fix, too.
Produced by Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Cartel) along with Mike Green (Paramore, Breathe Carolina), Favorite Fix contains twelve undeniably catchy, uber-melodic tunes, including the title track from the Damn Rough Night EP. Enlisting the help of Forever The Sickest Kids’ Austin Bello, whose vocals are featured on “Damn Rough Night”, and The Maine’s John O, who collaborated on first track “Car Crash”, the album has been given a new dimension. “The subject matters are deeper, the music is better and it’s the most diverse thing we’ve done to date,” said singer Tarcy Thomason. “There is something on this album for everyone, and I mean that.”
In the fall of 2007, singer Tarcy Thomason sat in his Dallas, Tex. home and realized he missed making music. “I had not been in a band for a few months and it was driving me crazy, so I posted a MySpace bulletin, asking to get together and make some music with someone,” Thomason said, recalling the band’s humble beginnings. When former guitarist Craig Calloway responded, the two hit the studio, bringing in Joe Westbrook on drums. They started playing local shows, gaining bass player Jason Dean and completing their line up after discovering guitarist Joe Kirkland on YouTube. Artist Vs Poet was born, and didn’t waste time in getting on the radar of the industry.
Just a year after forming, the band was snatched up by Fearless Records, who released their acclaimed debut eponymous EP in November 2008. The band quickly captured the hearts of a fast-growing army of fans, gaining 3 million total plays and 50,000 friends on MySpace, and the EP going on to sell over 12,000 copies. The media soon followed in backing the band, with Alternative Press naming them one of their 100 Bands You Need to Know, while their video for “Runaway” won MTVU’s ‘Freshman 5’, and their songs were featured on MTV’s The Real World and Parental Control. The band released their second EP Damn Rough Night while on tour with Forever The Sickest Kids and The Rocket Summer in December 2009. Alternative Press noted: “The four ultra-catchy songs on this EP offer irrefutable evidence that it is possible to write quality, radio ready pop-rock songs in 2009”. The EP hit #9 on the iTunes Alternative Chart, and #98 on the overall chart. The band has already toured the U.S. with The Maine and We The Kings in support of Favorite Fix, and spent a full summer on Vans Warped Tour. Artist vs Poet joined Mayday Parade along with labelmates Breathe Carolina, Every Avenue and Go Radio on the Fearless Friends tour in fall 2010.
After contributing the smash cover of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” to 2010 compilation Punk Goes Pop 3, the band is back in writing mode for their follow-up to Favorite Fix.
Artist Vs Poet’s new album Favorite Fix is out now on Fearless Records.

It’s a truly rare occasion when a debut by a band is met with the kind of feverish fan anticipation that has encircled LUCKY STREET, the full-length debut by Tallahassee, Florida melodic rockers GO RADIO. But then again, none of those other groups have JASON LANCASTER - one of the most talented lyricists of all time - at the helm.
The GO RADIO singer/songwriter, who’s been crafting unflinchingly honest, breathtakingly beautiful music since venturing out on his own in 2007, boasts arguably the most goosebump-inducing combination of raw vocal talent and songwriting prowess in rock today. Backed by a gifted band with two stellar EPs under their belts, LANCASTER and GO RADIO are only just beginning to explore the seemingly endless potential for their mind-blowing creations.
The band--which also includes bassist MATT “BURNS” POULOS, drummer STEVEN KOPACZ and guitarist ALEX REED--immediately turned heads with the release of their self-released EP Welcome To Life in 2008, which bowled over listeners with its poignant, heartfelt lyrics and irresistible melodies. Attracting the attention of Fearless Records, the band inked a deal with the label, releasing the band’s second EP, Do Overs And Second Chances, in 2010. The EP, which featured the stunning ballad “Goodnight Moon,” landed at #8 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, going on to sell more than 15,000 copies in the U.S. In that span the group has toured extensively, heading out on high-profile runs with A Day To Remember, Secondhand Serenade and the Fearless Friends Tour with Mayday Parade among others. Despite the early success, 2011 promises to be the band’s most pivotal moment to date.
Tapping the legendary Tim O’Heir (The All-American Rejects, Hot Rod Circuit, The Starting Line, Say Anything) to man the console for LUCKY STREET, the 13 tracks showcases the producer’s knack for crafting inherently addicting ear candy. The production, and the awe-inspiring musicianship underpinning the songs, serves as an unmatched springboard for LANCASTER’s impassioned writing.
Mortality is not an unknown theme in GO RADIO’s music--the passing of LANCASTER’s father in August 2007 has inspired some of his most heart-rending compositions. But on LUCKY STREET the songwriter expands his scope on the subject with brilliant results, as on “Singing With The King,” which even goes on in its second verse to compile an “all-star band” in heaven complete with friends, family and long-lost legends Elvis, Johnny Cash, Keith Moon and Freddie Mercury.
Fans will also recognize a re-recorded version of “Forever My Father,” the tearful ballad that closed the Welcome To Life EP. Originally penned and recorded along with LANCASTER’s siblings Erin and Daniel shortly after their father’s passing, it’s one of the most personal, emotionally vulnerable works ever recorded in popular music.
Inspired by the moment and desiring to leave a copy of the song with his father before his burial, LANCASTER enlisted a friend with a recording studio to help track the composition immediately, resulting in the stirring performance heard on Welcome To Life. Approaching the song again for LUCKY STREET, LANCASTER says GO RADIO attempted to focus on the heart of the composition, instead of bogging the meaning down in heavy production gloss and arrangements.
Known for their kinetic live performances and intimate interaction with fans, a packed slate of touring in support of LUCKY STREET--including a full run on the 2011 Vans Warped Tour and an opening spot on the "On Your Side" tour with A Rocket To The Moon, Anarbor, Valencia, and RunnerRunner -- is the other crucial ingredient in bringing such vital art to the masses. GO RADIO aim to recruit a bonafide army of listeners, from multiple genres, as diverse as the band’s inimitable sound.
GO RADIO’s new album LUCKY STREET is out now on Fearless Records.
