Nachtmystium, Zoroaster, Atlas Moth, Dark Castle

Nachtmystium is a metal band from Illinois that has featured members from other american black metal acts such as Weltmacht, Krieg, and Judas Iscariot.

Formed in 1999 by guitarist Blake Judd (aka Azentrius), Nachtmystium debuted with their first demo, Holocaust of Eternity, and a split with USBM band Zalnik. Their first full-length, Reign of the Malicious, was released in 2002, and since then, they have released 4 EPs, Nachtmystium (2003), Eulogy IV (2004), Worldfall (2008) and Doomsday Derelicts (2009), and 4 full-length albums, Demise (2004), Instinct: Decay (2006), Assassins: Black Meddle, Part 1 (2008) and Addicts: Black Meddle Part 2 (2010). Nachtmystium has had various splits with the major USBM bands, including Xasthur and Krieg, and an upcoming split with Leviathan. A new song entitled "Pitch Black Cadence" has been posted on their Myspace-page.

Azentrius is the owner of Battle Kommand Records. He also is an active member in USBM supergroup Twilight.

Zoroaster was formed in the summer of 2003 by Brent Anderson (bass guitar, vocal), Will Fiore (guitar, vocal), and Rod Fiore (drums), three former colleagues in the defunct group Terminal Doom Explosion who rediscovered their mutual interests in primal, concrete sludge-doom.

Zoroaster, based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States has been rampaging the East Coast for the past years and has shared the stage with acts such as Gojira, Withered, Tualatin, Dove, Cream Abdul Babar, I/O, and many more.

Their influences include Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Sleep, Venom, and Godflesh. Their sludgy style of music has been described as menacing and unrelenting.

Atlas Moth was a two, and for a short while three piece, grind/scream/noise band from Worcester, MA. Aggressive and emotionally messy, Atlas Moth compiled one small-run cassette over one busy summer, played only two shows and reached a small number of dedicated locals. Timothy Hetu (drums) and Patrick M. (guitar/vocals) forged this ensemble and later, James Santella joined the group as bassist and noise maker. The group existed from 2001-2002.

Dark Castle is an American sludge / doom metal two-piece band from St. Augustine, Florida, United States formed in 2005.

They first appeared in 2008 with an elaborately packaged self-released demo (Flight of the Pegasus) that garned a good deal of favorable attention from the metal press and other bands (including Relapse Records' Minsk). It is easy to see why this unsigned band turned so many heads, as there are several obvious elements that separate them from their peers. In an extreme rarity in metal genres, most of the guitar and vocal work is handled by a woman, Stevie Floyd. Also, the band has the distinction of having no bass player (nor bass in any of their recordings), which is strikingly ballsy in a genre that is so intimately associated with low-frequency amplifier worship.

They released their first full-length album, Spirited Migration, in 2009.
