Random Animals was formed in late 2008-early 2009 when the 3 remaining members of The Trouble Clefs decided to take their music in a little bit of a different direction. Adding the smooth drum sounds of Captain D Smith and the energetic and super-talented bass playing from Ryan Yoakem.
...With influences coming from every imaginable outlet we strive to have a sound that almost anyone could enjoy. With a bit of cool cat, a little post punk, and some pop indie style we are hoping to make an impact in the local scene and keep bringing the Hondo Tunes to the people!

The Universes
The Universes is a band fronted by Dustin T. Rooney (Dustmuffin & the Aluminum Cans, "To The Wolves..."). Rooney describes his song writing as "pop-by-numbers," blending new wave, surf, and post punk into a familiar, cheerful despondency. Their debut album, B-sides and Lost Singles (2008) is available through Disques De Lapin. Their follow up, Lorenzo Music is slated for a 2012 release.
