Create an Event

In this guide I will go through some basics of setting up your first event. First you will need to login to your holdmyticket.com account. Once logged-in you can create a new event from the dashboard by clicking "Create Event" in the secondary navigation as appears in the following screenshot.
Now you will be presented with an event form, in this form you can add your new event. I've added some notes on the form screenshot below for better explanation.
Now the next part of the form is the event description block, you'll notice there are two types of description fields. They work a little different in their own ways.
Each event has the capability to have "Media". You can add videos, images, flyers, graphics to your event. This will be available in your feeds and custom event pages.
Next is determining if you would like to use Hold My Ticket to sell tickets for this event. If your event is free, you can leave it as no, and leave the prices blank. Otherwise you can sell tickets and build a will-call list or setup an event to use e-tickets from this interface. I'll just go into some basics for now but there are lots of options for every ticket and setup to accomodate just about every type of event out there.
Now your all done with a basic event setup. You can dig deeper into these menus to learn a little bit more about what goes into an event. There are some tool-tips in the form to help along the way. You can always come back and edit an event just as long as it hasn't past.
